Hyundai Motor Group is showcasing its comprehensive hydrogen technologies spanning production infrastructure, mobility applications, and city-wide ecosystems at the World Hydrogen Expo 2026. Held from November 4 to 6 at KINTEX in Goyang, Korea, the exhibition brings together approximately 190 companies and organizations from 12 countries. Operating through its dedicated hydrogen brand HTWO, the Group’s showcase connects large-scale production methods directly with end-use mobility options.

Hydrogen Production and Waste-to-Energy Infrastructure

The company is presenting two primary approaches to clean hydrogen generation: modular polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) electrolysis and locally integrated waste-to-hydrogen (W2H) systems. The modular PEM electrolysis setup combines twelve stacks into a single 5 megawatt-class system module capable of producing approximately 700 metric tons of hydrogen annually, with an architecture scalable to hundreds of megawatts. Additionally, the W2H approach focuses on converting organic waste into hydrogen, highlighted by operations at HTWO Energy Cheongju and localized biogas projects.

Hydrogen Mobility, Fuel Cells, and Automated Refueling

The mobility display covers passenger vehicles, commercial fleet solutions, and rail applications. Confirmed vehicle exhibits include the upcoming 2027 NEXO SUV and a fuel cell electric cleaning truck. For commercial operators, the Group introduced an enhanced-durability fuel cell system featuring improved stack longevity designed for long-distance transport. Fleet management is supported by the Bluelink Uptime Care system for real-time diagnostics and preventive maintenance. Furthermore, the exhibition features the public demonstration of the Automatic Charging Robot-Hydrogen (ACR-H) for commercial vehicles, designed to automate the refueling process for heavy-duty trucks.

Integrated Ecosystems and Regional Applications

To demonstrate real-world scalability, the Group outlined integrated energy scenarios connecting production and demand for urban areas and industrial hubs. This includes the Saemangeum AI Valley concept, which links solar power and electrolysis with artificial intelligence data centers, robotics manufacturing plants, and a self-sustaining hydrogen city infrastructure.

Practical Takeaway

Visitors and industry operators attending the exhibition can experience the ELEC CITY Fuel Cell low-floor intercity bus, ride programs for the UNIVERSE Fuel Cell coach and New XCIENT Fuel Cell tractor, and educational sessions through the HTWO Academy during the event.
